Barcoded labels and tags have
taken on a permanent role in the dynamic world of labeling. For every
application need there is an appropriate label that meets enormous demands in
terms of durability, processing capabilities and economical viability.
Continuous teamwork between
yourself and DIDS guaranties success. Let us advise you on any issue regarding
labels, from choice of materials right through to the printed label. A high standard of quality, many
interesting and effective variations and durability are of great importance.
Even if you design and produce
your own labels, let our knowledge of materials, ribbons, printers and scanners
be of help to you.
WHAT MAKES A LABEL STICK?
Have you come across a label that for no apparent reason
refused to stick to the application surface ? The problem could be low surface
energy. The application surface is a critical consideration when applying
labels. It must be dry, free of contaminants and have a surface energy
compatible with the adhesive. The surface energy along with temperature and
pressure, affects the "wet-out" of the adhesive onto the surface. The
affinity of a particular surface depends on the intramolecular attraction force
between the two. The greater the force, the higher the surface energy. The
higher the surface energy, the better wet-out flow of adhesive. The application
surface energy must be equal to or higher than the adhesive's surface energy for
a good bond.
By discussing your application with us, we can recommend the
best adhesive for a successful application. But it is important to test it on
the application surface before you buy it. We will gladly provide printed
samples for field testing.

Automotive
In
the automotive industry, labels are applied to virtually every part
manufactured today. Most of the time, these labels are bar coded for
tracking purposes. Many parts are also protected with a label of
authenticity, as OEMs combat the illicit counterfeit parts trade.
Dynamic ID's THERMLfilm® , COMPUcal®
EXCEL™, LAZRetch™ and POLY-2000®
products adhere to the application surface even under severe
conditions, offering excellent solvent resistance and temperature
resistance from -40° F to 302° F. For tamper-evident and security
needs, Dynamic ID's THERMLfilm® Destruct) can
assure the authenticity of automotive parts
Electronics

The electronics and appliance
industries utilize labels for manufacturing applications such as
in-process tracking of components and for product identification,
including bar codes, model numbers, and serial numbers. Inventory
tracking labels must be durable and resist the high levels of
abrasion, solder heat and solvent exposure often present in this
environment.

UL Recognition /
CSA Compliance
Labels for UL (Underwriter's
Laboratories, Inc.) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association)
must meet specific requirements for image quality, durability,
scratch and abrasion resistance, and weathering. Dynamic ID's THERMLfilm®,
LAZRfilm®, POLY 2000®, alphaMAX®
, COMPUcal® EXCEL™, and IMPCTfilm®
products help protect consumers by offering long-term
reliability in agency recognition labeling. |
Industrial
Industrial
labeling applications range from materials tracking and product
identification, to long-term asset management labels for capital goods
and equipment. Dynamic ID has a wide range of effective solutions for
laser, thermal transfer, direct thermal and dot matrix printing
systems.
Asset
Tracking
Asset tracking applications include stock taking and
capital item tracking, and may also require security features to deter
theft. Dynamic ID's 0,5 mm thick Aluminium Laser marked labels plus POLY-2000®,
THERMLfilm®, THERMLfilm® SELECT™,
alphaMAX® and LAZRfilm® products
offer superior image quality, scannability and durability throughout
the life of the asset. Tamper-evident and destructible THERMLfilm®
products provide for security and anti-theft requirements.
