WHAT'S NEW  August 2007

CAB A series printers, A3 and A2 and Hermes are now shipping with major improvements "under the bonnet".

cab Printers always printed great labels, and the new front roller and ribbon crease management mechanical revisions make the work of setting up new jobs even easier. 

These improvements will reduce the part diversity across the product range to make the most commonly replaced spares identical from printer to printer. Daily maintenance is still as easy a it can get. The new front roller rubber composite is a product of years of customer feedback on roller wear and tear. 

Is the CAB E4 low cost label printer  with CAB Label the most cost effective solution to label printing?

If you don't need to print labels all day, (read cab A3) but need smaller volumes of a cost sensitive or quality label possibly with variable information like batch and serial numbers cab have a great " New Product " . Call Julian or Riaan K for a demo. Gone are the hassles of fussy cheap label printers..... and software limitations. This printer is priced at the entry level without the frustrations of the older low cost offerings. "Low Cost" now means full length ribbons and large rolls of labels, with great software in the box plus legendary cab reliability and service.

Once upon a time we all saw a barcode scanner as some sort of hand held device, and PC's had serial, RS 232 ports, the new scanners are USB or Wireless hands free models with read-range diversity options and in shapes and sizes to fit into almost any application.

CAB Marking Laser ( now we have a new Fiber Laser with more Power and speed as of August 2007)

With the diode pumped laser cab offers a laser marking system, which combines the modern technologies in an impressive way. In the compact laser unit the laser optics, scanning head, power supply and the controller are all integrated into this compact package. High efficiency, exclusive air cooled compact optics, scanning head, power supply and controller are integrated into one unit.

 This makes it easy to integrate the laser in a production line. The integrated controller monitors, controls and adjusts the complete laser process. The user of the system is continuously informed of the laser status by the MS Windows interface.

The laser contains a miniature resonator, which effects highest Pulse- Power- Peaks by using extremely short Pulse-length. Materials like plastics, metal and foil can be marked durably and abrasion unlike engraving is eliminated. 

The high quality and intensity of the laser beam is perfect for direct marking of printed circuit boards with miniature 2-D-barcodes.

 The integration of an thermo electric air-cooling system and the high efficiency of the system are reduce the running costs to a minimum.
